Celebrating Grace’s Amazing Milestone
Years ago, a 12 year old girl named Grace from Kibera picked up a tennis racket for the first time through St. Vincent’s weekly tennis lessons with Coach Joe. Despite the heavy challenges at home
including her mother’s struggle to care for Grace’s amputee sister after a tragic train accident. Grace found a safe haven, pride, and purpose on the tennis court.
We watched her grow from a passionate nursery school student into a fierce competitor who proudly brought home trophies from regional tournaments. But Grace didn’t stop at mastering the game. She
used the discipline, focus, and support she received to conquer her academics.
We are incredibly proud to announce that Grace has graduated from university. She is now a qualified school teacher and has officially
stepped into the role of a tennis coach, mentoring young athletes under the wings of her original mentor, Coach Joe.
Grace is living proof that when you invest in a child's education and passions, you unlock a leader who will change their entire community. Thank you to everyone who supported Grace’s journey
from a young player to an inspiring educator and coach.
