We know that for vulnerable children to succeed, the whole family needs support. Our holistic education and support initiatives creates a safety net for vulnerable children and families in one of Africa’s largest urban slums. This includes education and early childhood development, nutrition, child protection, parent education , family economic strengthening, and referrals to health and other services.
Among the many vulnerable families in Kibera, we work to identify the most vulnerable children for admission into our programs. This includes children who have been orphaned, those experiencing abuse and neglect, and those in single headed households. We are committed to giving these children multiple opportunities to succeed. This approach sets us apart.
