Rachael joined St. Vincent’s in January 2025 with strong project management experience, leading initiatives that positively impact
society. Holding a Master of Science in Project Management degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), she arms herself with theoretical concepts and practical
experience to attain successful programs.
Her working life has been marked by an unshakeable dedication to building safe, nurturing, and welcoming learning
environments where people can thrive. With solid experience in program management, team leadership, and stakeholder management, Rachael delivers project results with precision and passion. Her
ability to bring people together, optimize resources, and guarantee the success of projects attests to her drive to create positive change in her community.
Grace, or “Mathe” (mother) as she is known in our Rescue Centre, joined St. Vincent’s as House Mother of the Rescue Centre in 2002. Grace brings an infinite amount of love, patience, and understanding to her role, creating a true home and family for children at the Rescue Centre.
Caroline first joined St. Vincent’s in 2006 immediately after she had finished her studies attaining qualification in Early Childhood Development as approved by the Government of Kenya. Caroline became an Assistant Teacher, before moving into her current role as teacher in pre primary two class. She loves being around the children.
Martha joined St. Vincent’s in 2023, working with the Playgroup class. She is a dedicated, hardworking, and well-rounded teacher with a natural ability to connect with children and create a supportive, engaging learning environment. Known for her passion, reliability, and drive to make a positive difference, she consistently brings her skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm to every task, contributing meaningfully to the school community.
Leonard is a compassionate and sensitive individual with over 15 years of experience in a range of positions in child and youth support environments. Since joining St. Vincent’s, he has contributed significantly to making the rescue centre environment healthy and safe for the children.
Jefferson is an experienced accountant with expertise in financial management, auditing, and strategic planning. He boasts a track record of delivering accurate financial reporting, managing complex data, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, Jefferson optimizes financial performance and opportunities for cost savings. As an accountant, he offers valuable fiscal oversight and guidance, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals.
Dinnah Muhonja joined St. Vincent’s in 2013 as a qualified nursery school teacher with a certification in early childhood development. She started as the Playgroup class teacher and is now the teacher in pre primary one class. Her motivation is to serve the young children and nurture them as they grow.
Beatrice Akinyi was first introduced to St. Vincent's in 2004 as a parent to one of our beneficiaries. She volunteered to help with some of the cleaning, eventually becoming the full-time cleaner. Beatrice is now the cook. Having been a beneficiary, she is happy to now be giving back to St. Vincent's.
Esther is a diligent, committed, and versatile member of the nursery school support staff. She is a dedicated team player, possessing a natural ability to relate with kids and create a warm, encouraging learning atmosphere. Esther, known for her energy and reliability, infuses enthusiasm in all her undertakings, making a positive contribution to St. Vincent’s.
Violet, an IT graduate, has been working in the accounts office since February 2024. Her background in IT enables her to bring a unique perspective to the office, combining technical expertise with finance management. Violet’s passion for learning and dedication to professional growth is an asset to St. Vincent’s and to her future in IT and accounting.
